SysDefenders also known as Sys Defenders virus is another addition to the group of fake computer security application. Using the same console and method of propagation, SysDefenders can be easily identified as the successor to SysProtector and InSysSecure. Starting with a simple downloads of infected files from a file-sharing networks or executing an email attached file, a Trojan will start redirecting an Internet browser of infected computer to fake security websites. These malicious websites will run a script on visitors computer and download a copy of SysDefenders. Once inside the system, SysDefenders Trojan will alter system settings and create its own registry so that the threat will run each time Windows is started. Excessive pop-up alerts and warning will be issued that will try to deceive computer users. It aims on selling the program and the goal is to let users pay for the licensed version of SysDefenders.

How to Remove SysDefenders Manually
1. Restart your computer in SafeMode
– After Power-On the computer, just before Windows start, press F8
– From the selections, Select SafeMode
2. Remove Registry entries that the threat added. You MUST BACKUP YOUR REGISTRY FIRST.
– Click Start > Run
– Type in the field, regedit
– Navigate and look for the registry entries mentioned above and delete if necessary
3. Delete malicious files that the threat added:
– Base on the given location above, browse and delete the file
– If no location is given, click Start>Search> and search for the files.
– If cannot be deleted, press Ctrl+Alt+Del to access Task Manager, see if the file is running in the process. If it is, select the file and click End Process. Perform file delete again.
4. Scan computer with Antivirus Program
– Update antivirus program
– Scan computer and delete all detected threats.
