MaxiCrypt is a computer virus that prime motive is to extort money from PC users. It locks access to victim’s files, and then obliges them to pay a ransom; otherwise, their files cannot be recovered.

IGotYou is a computer virus under ransomware class. It encrypts files using AES encryption algorithm, then malware author demand a ransom in exchange for file decryption.

Cryp70n1c or Cryp70n1c Army is a ransom virus based on HiddenTear. It encrypts files using AES cryptography, and then asks victims to pay a ransom in order to recover their files.
