This alert by rogue program called Antivirus Plus aims to deceive victims from purchasing the registered version of the said product. It may appear like a genuine system tray alert from Windows system, but it is not. It was made to look like one so that it can mislead computer users.
BankerFox.A is a fake “Antivirus software alert” displayed by a bogus security software called AV Security Suite. A threat BankerFox.A is issued together with a warning message stating that computer is infected and advises user to block the attack by obtaining the registered version of the fake security program. This is not the first time that malware authors are using real threat for a fake alert.

Antivirus XP 2008 is a bogus security program that may spread in various ways. Spam email messages may contain malicious links pointing to a web site wherein visitors can easily catch this rogue program has been very active lately. Antivirus XP 2008 also uses Trojan to redirect infected computers internet browser to same web site that will display false alert messages and mislead visitors into manually downloading the program.
